The Possum-Haw Cloggers are an exhibition team formed in 1990 to preserve the heritage and art of traditional Appalachian style clogging and mountain square dancing. Promoting the ideals of fun, fellowship, and camaraderie through clogging, Possum-Haw performances present a dynamic blend of traditional music and dance including Buck & Wing, Open Precision, 4-Couple Precision, Country Hoedown, Kentucky Running Set, Smooth Mountain Square Dance, and Southern Appalachian Big Circle Dancing.
If you've ever wanted to learn Appalachian style clog dancing, this is your chance. Wear smooth soled shoes. No sneakers, please. For more information, contact Cheryl Dehut in Leander, Texas, at (512) 260-6865, or email dehut@fmp.com.
